7 Tips For You To Lose Weight

Aha! I look at the weather forecast on my phone and see that it can reach 30 degrees this week. That seems a long time ago. My coaching clients and also in my mailbox often ask me what you can drink in warm weather if you want to lose weight. Beer, wine and soft drinks are not the best option. Many people think diet soft drinks and fruit juices are good. But that makes you fat. I would leave all those drinks, also because there is something much more delicious :-). Here are vital tips that help people lose extra pound and maintain healthy weight.

Tip 1: 1.5 to 2 liters of water

In any case, drink enough water, the guideline is 6 to 8 glasses a day. If you exercise intensively or in warm weather, you naturally need more water. Make sure you don’t dry out and are not thirsty. Start your day on an empty stomach with a glass of lukewarm water and then another glass of lukewarm water with the juice of half a lemon. This is a good start to your day because you lose a lot of moisture at night.

Tip 2: No sports drinks

Are you healthier in life and also in sports? Then it might be tempting to take a sports drink. Prefer not to do this. These types of drinks are packed with sugars or sweeteners and your body does not need these drinks. If you just eat clean, such as in the Bikini Body Spa , you do not have to take extra measures after an hour of exercise (drink water, of course). If you do a heavy strength training, then it is good to take a protein shake afterwards. Then choose a healthy protein powder without added colors, flavors, sugars and sweeteners.

Drink a maximum of 2 cups of coffee per day. I use this guideline myself, because it makes me feel good. Coffee removes moisture and makes you hyper. Frankly, scientific studies contradict how many cups you can best drink now, because coffee also has benefits, for example for your memory. Make a choice for yourself and keep an eye on how your body reacts.

Tip 4: Moderate with alcohol

Be moderate with alcohol. Especially in warm weather it is tempting to take an extra beer or glass of wine. But it makes you fat and it is bad for your cells. Alcohol shuts down your fat metabolism for several hours, it contains a lot of calories and it stimulates your feeling of hunger. That’s why I also call alcohol the fat doubler. I sometimes drink a glass myself, but not every day and just for fun. Did you know that every day a glass of alcohol already increases the risk of breast cancer in women? Therefore, look for alternatives. Get used to drinking more water.

Tip 5: No soft drinks and fruit juices

I advise you not to take soft drinks and fruit juices at all, not even in the light version and also not freshly squeezed. I explain and I start with soda. Regular soft drinks contain a lot of sugar, for example a can of coca cola contains 6 cubes of sugar. Some people seem to have this because they are not fat. But sugar is bad for your cells, it causes spikes in your blood sugar and the fat can settle around your organs.

Tip 6: Drink green tea, herbal tea and turmeric tea

Are you thirsty? In addition to water, drink green tea, herbal tea and turmeric tea. What you can do is make iced tea from your favorite green tea or herbal tea. That is especially nice on warm days. Don’t take the iced tea out of a pack, which is packed with sugar or sweetener. If you make it yourself you can leave out the sugars. Choose your favorite tea and brew the tea in the evening and let it cool in the fridge overnight. Put the tea in a large glass jug. When serving, add a slice of orange and some ice cubes.

Tip 7: Drink fresh vegetable juice

Drink a fresh vegetable juice regularly with a lot of (green) vegetables in it and not too much fruit. If you have a juicer or juicer yourself, you could make a healthy juice a few times a week in the morning. I often take a vegetable juice in the morning after drinking a glass of water and a glass of water with lemon.

Green leafy vegetables are rich in polyphenols, which help activate your fat burning. Don’t have a juicer yourself? No problem. Nowadays you can buy fresh juices in more and more places, ask if they put in as little fruit as possible (maximum half a piece / portion of fruit per person), because then the healthy effect is gone :-).
